Herb Monograph Printmaking Workshop

Celebrate the intersection of herbalism and printmaking—two ancient traditions of storytelling and preservation—in this collaborative workshop hosted by Lena of Perennial and Krista of the Hartford Press Co-op. Together, we’ll explore the actions, energetics, and indications of three featured herbs. Participants will then use handset metal letterpress type and relief printed botanical imagery to design and print a personalized herb monograph inspired by these plants on our Vandercook Press. After printing, we’ll enhance the artwork using natural dyes to hand-color and customize each piece. Leave with a one-of-a-kind, hand-printed and hand-colored herbal art piece. No printmaking or herbalism experience necessary—all materials and guidance provided.
